Working with natural resources and their stewards, over the last three decades, has provided me with a unique understanding of recognizing ecological health and function across working lands. As a manager and caretaker of a land based business, I discovered how one’s intention can manifest into personal growth. Leading with compassion for all things under our management is essential for regenerative outcomes to occur. I have learned that by listening to the land, with our hearts and minds open, we can discover the answer to the question “What does this place want to be?” And even more importantly, “Who do I need to become to serve this place?”

Andy is a rancher and the founder of Grama Grass & Livestock, a regenerative meat company based in Boulder County, CO. After going to school at the University of Denver, Andy's passion for food evolved into a love of land. Grama Grass & Livestock, which is named for the state grass of Colorado, aims to heal Colorado's native prairie through the use of livestock, specifically the ruminant cattle. Our regenerative grazing style mimic’s bison's native grazing through high impact followed by long periods of rest. Through creating healthy land, Grama Grass produces healthy beef.

Nick is a regenerative designer, farmer and builder, inspired by indigenous culture and ancient farming practices. In 2015, he began farming a barren 14 acre parcel of land in north Boulder County, now known as Elk Run Farm, and established the pilot research project for Drylands Agroecology Research (DAR). Today, Nick is working to develop climate change solutions through regenerative farming, working with private and public landowners across Boulder County.
